Sometime during our trip last year, we parked on the side of the road to sleep in the car. Well, we actually did that a couple times. Another time was in LA and once in Northern California after hitting the Redwoods. This was in northern Arizona somewhere between the north and south rim of the Grand Canyon. We tried heading to the Vermillion Cliffs, but the road was closed off. It was raining buckets that night, so we couldn’t set up camp. We tried finding a motel, but every one was closed. The car was an oven. I woke up sticky and oily when the sun was going up and decided to walk around and take these photos. I had my morning pee behind that giant boulder on the right of the car.
Somewhere in northern Arizona.
